Perfumes

Dig down through the island.

Five of our perfumes are strata, laid down in the order Lanzarote made them: the newest on top, the ash at the bottom. The sixth is all five shaken together. Scroll down to dig.

Stratum V · 72 to 90 ml · Salted musk

Janubio

The sea, left in the sun.

At the south end of the island the sea is let into square pools and left alone until only the salt stays. Janubio smells of warm skin that has dried on the walk back from the water.

Sea salt · Mandarin · Orange blossom · Mineral accord · Ambergris accord · White musk

Discover Janubio

Stratum IV · 54 to 72 ml · Floral spicy

Cochinilla

Our only colour.

On the prickly pears at Guatiza lives a small grey insect. Crush it and your fingers turn crimson. For two centuries it dyed the robes of cardinals, and it is the only colour we allow ourselves: the dot in our mark.

Pink pepper · Prickly pear · Orris · Red rose · Labdanum · Suede

Discover Cochinilla

Stratum III · 36 to 54 ml · Aromatic marine

Alisio

The wind that built the walls.

The trade wind comes in from the north east most days of the year. It carries salt off the Atlantic and white sand off Famara, and every stone wall on the island is built against it. Alisio is that wind, before it has touched anything green.

Sea air · Lemon peel · Dry grass · Immortelle · Driftwood · Ambrette

Discover Alisio

Stratum II · 18 to 36 ml · Fruity green

Malvasía

One vine, one hole, one wall.

In La Geria every vine lives alone at the bottom of its own crater, behind a half moon of stones. The grape is malvasía volcánica. We took the skin of the grape, the milk of the fig leaf and the dust on both.

White grape · Pear skin · Fig leaf · Fig milk · Pumice accord · Blond woods

Discover Malvasía

Stratum I · 0 to 18 ml · Mineral woody

Picón

Wet ash at five in the morning.

Picón is the black gravel the volcano left behind. It holds the night air and gives it back to the roots at dawn, so the fields smell of wet stone before the sun is up. We built the whole perfume around that one minute.

Black pepper · Bergamot · Wet stone accord · Vetiver · Frankincense · Atlas cedar

Discover Picón

No. 0 · the whole core, 100 ml · Amber mineral

Malpaís

Five layers of one island, shaken once.

Our signature is the other five, layered in the order the island made them and then shaken together. Ash, vine, wind, red, salt. It is the one we wear in the house.
